Sport Interests: Running, swimming, hiking, yoga, snowboarding, surfing
How I got started in sports: I began dancing at age 3 and then decided when I was 11 that I liked swimming. I joined a local competitive team and my love for high-intensity sports and competition grew from there!
Athletic achievements: I'm completed numerous Olympic distance triathlons and a half-dozen half marathons.
Athletic goals: I
would eventually like to run a marathon and compete in a Half Ironman. It takes
a lot of time to train for those events, but it is a priority for me, so I know
I will make it happen.
Inspiration: One of my friends'
mom is an avid triathlete, and just raced her second Ironman in New Zealand. I
hope that when Im over 50 Ill still have the motivation and desire to do what she does.
Favorite spot to do my sport: Anywhere with a beautiful setting--West Cliff, Nisene Marks, Golden Gate park for running and Capitola Beach for swimming.
Favorite Girls4Sport wear: The Yoga pants! I've never had a more comfortable or flattering pair.
What I do when I’m not in the water: Besides work, I love to travel, see movies, get together with friends, and enjoy the outdoors - the beach is my favorite place in the summer.
My job: Youth sports coordinator for the Giants Community Fund, the non-profit sector of the San Francisco Giants
Education: B.A. from UC Santa Barbara
Interesting/unusual facts about me: I've lived in Spain, traveled with my boyfriend for 3 months in South Africa (and yes, we're still together!), been to Europe a few times, and love to bake cookies!
