Girls4Sport
Foundation to support sports opportunities for women
SANTA
CRUZ, CALIF.- In conjunction with the launch of its new performance
clothing and gear for women, Girls4Sport is establishing the Girls4Sport
Foundation. The Foundation is a charitable arm of Girls4Sport to
support organizations that provide girls of all ages with opportunities
for learning, enjoying and excelling in sports.
The
Girls4Sport Foundation will provide grants to sports programs, camps,
clinics and others that inspire girls and women to lead healthy,
active lifestyles.
The Foundation will begin accepting one-page preliminary application
letters on September 15, 2003 from prospective applicants providing
the organization's name, address, telephone number and organization
classification, a description of the organization's objectives and
programs, the specified amount of money being requested, and its
proposed use.
The
Foundation reviews preliminary requests as they are received and
responds within 60 days. If a preliminary proposal is chosen for
further consideration, the organization will be invited to submit
a full proposal.
